Early Career Journal Prize

The AMHA offers an annual award of AD$500 for the best article published in the Journal of Australasian Mining History (JAMH) by an early career historian. The award is  for an article related to mining history and accepted for publication in the refereed section of the JAMH. It is not restricted to members of the AMHA and comes with 12 months free membership of the Association.

The award can be offered in two categories:

  • a completing undergraduate student (including a 4th year of Honors)
  • an early career historian with up to 5 years experience after graduation from a Bachelor Degree

Candidates should indicate their eligibility to the Editor of the Journal on submission of their article.
